Under Two Minutes

That is how long it takes a fire truck to be deployed...and also how long it will take for you to send an end-of-year donation to Salt & Light Partners!

Please consider us in your end-of-year giving to help us continue to support our first responders in SE MN. Every donation helps, and we are incredibly grateful for each of you who choose to partner with us in this mission. Thank you!

Donate Before You Forget 😎

Welcome APD!

Say hello to our newest supported agency and chaplains! We are privileged to serve the officers and staff at the Austin, MN, Police Department (APD). Pictured above are Chaplain Victor Ordonez, Sgt. Daniel Osborne, Chaplain Cora Wyse, and Lead Chaplain Cory Goetz. Welcome to the Salt & Light family!

RFD Welcomes Eight New Firefighters

The Rochester Fire Department (RFD) held its Annual Awards and Badging Ceremony, initiating eight new firefighters into the service. Congratulations to all! Chaplains Jorden Johnson, George Beech, and Todd Looney provided support and encouragement.

FROGs

Chaplain Shari Cape hosted a candle-making party for Rochester Police Department (RPD) families. Fellowship creates strong bonds that better support our cops and their families. When families are strong, our cops are emotionally prepared to support the community best.

Our Family Readiness & Outreach Group (FROGs) held an Adventure Day for law enforcement, EMS, and firefighter families at Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch. Couples were "challenged" with fun activities to improve communications including horseback riding and zip line bombing runs. Families that brought kids got them back at the end of the day tired and happy after crafts, physical activities, and hanging out with Clyde the Camel.

Couples meticulously hand-crafted culinary delights of tater-tot hotdish, explaining their dedication to each other, evidenced by their artisan masterpieces. They also honed their archery skills, and we saw many hidden talents emerge.

Continuous Improvement

Every Salt & Light Chaplain begins with all the necessary credentials to serve our first responders in good times and in challenging ones. We also know that for us to stay on top of our profession, we must continually seek to learn, grow, and improve everything we do. We are grateful to partner with Meadows Center for Mental Health Services for training to better our support to our first responders and their families.

We would love to be monthly partners with you to keep being salt and light to everyone in our community. We provide support and assistance to all citizens in our community who may come in contact with our public safety employees. Your financial support enables us to remain vigilant and respond 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Please consider partnering with us monthly.
